Saturday Fitness Fix #3

The holiday is looming! The bikini is staring at me. The gym is a calling!

I've had a couple of chub chub weeks which has been slightly crap on the old love handles, but this week has been a turn around one, packed full of gym time and scrummy juices! Well...also one not quite so successful green juice involving chia seeds that tasted of the ground but we'll skip over that.

If you're wanting a few easy to follow gym workouts, then give some of these a try, my whole body has definitely reaped the rewards and I've been sleeping like a log!

For a more outdoor based workout for when the sun decides to come out of hibernation, have a look at my Sunday Fitness Fix #2


Warm up - 10 min treadmill, 5 mins dynamic stretching

Kettlebell swings - 15 reps
TRX one arm pull ups - 8 each arm
x 3 sets

Kettlebell clean and press - 8 each arm
TRX jumping lunges - 15 reps
x 3 sets

Russian twists w/ medicine ball - 30 reps
Oblique crunches - 15 each side
Leg raises - 8 reps
x 3 sets

Donkey kicks - 15 each leg
Donkey kick glute pulse - 30 each leg
Fire hydrants - 10 each leg
x 2 sets


15 mins cross trainer, 5 mins dynamic stretching

Weighted squats - 10 reps
Hip bridges w/ alternate leg raise - 5 each leg
x 3 sets

Soft plyo box- weighted step up w/ hip flexion - 10 each leg
Plyo box jump squats - 10 reps
Burpees - 8 reps
x 3 sets

Slow crunch - 10 reps
Bicycle crunches - 20 reps
Oblique crunch - 10 each side
x 3 sets


This completely relaxed me after I really long week. I was so content in my little bubble on my workout mat doing a youtube yoga workout called Let It Go Yoga Flow with Adriene. I've followed her yoga videos before and they really do calm me down if my mind is a bit racey.
