The New Blend on the Block :: YUYO

If you're an avid herby tea fan like myself and enjoy the sentence - ''a more sustained lift than a cup of coffee - without the crash - and more antioxidants than herbal and green tea'', then read on my friends!

I first discovered Yuyo on Twitter and was intrigued, mainly because I'm obsessed with leafy goodness in hot water and secondly because when I researched a little deeper, I was delighted with what I read!

The super plant behind these delicious blends is named Yerba Mate and apparently there is an ancient South American tradition whereby, a large batch of Yerba Mate is brewed and shared between families, friends, colleagues, classmates etc forging friendships and bonds.

I love the idea that it brings people together, especially after the horrific news this week in Orlando which I cannot stop thinking about. Such a simple idea of brewing a batch and sharing with the people you love within a community feels like a really lovely, uncomplicated gesture.

Rosie and Charles - the adventurers behind Yuyo, very kindly sent me their Yerba Mint and Rooibos Rewind infusions to try and I've been drinking a cup morning and evening. The latter is naturally caffeine free so has been perfect for a pre bedtime cosy cuppa, (maybe with a biscuit)...(OK yes I definitely have it with a biscuit!) And the mint blend I've been drinking around midday to give me a boost throughout the afternoon. They are delicious to say the least and definitely more interesting than my usual green tea which will now taste dull as dishwater in comparison.

The Betty stamp of approval, highly recommend! *****

Rosie has also offered 10% discount for my lovely readers, so follow this link to the Yuyo shop and enter YUYOBETTY as a coupon code and sup away in herby bliss.

Ps, this is not a sponsored post, I was sent this item to sample and all views are my honest opinion.
