I'm sorry waistline. I'm sorry readers who wanted new workouts. We're all going to have happy tummies this weekend instead because these are honestly THE BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES IN THE WORLD!
Yep. Big statement I know. And technically they've only been taste tested by 4 people...but 100% of them think they're the best cookies in the world too...so that's a good statistic right there.
I have rehearsal this afternoon with the classical quartet I sing with and I no doubt will ply them with cookies and milk to keep us going! Although that's probably the worst two items we could possibly feed ourselves with for the old vocal chords...oh well!
So if you'd like to taste the bestest chocolate chip cookies in the universe (yes universe) then just follow the easy peasy recipe below :)
What you'll need //
115g butter
60g granulated sugar
100g light brown sugar
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
220g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch salt
50g dark choc chips
50g milk choc chips (or basically as many as you like of each!)
What to do //
Line two baking trays with baking parchment.
Cream together butter and sugars until well mixed and fluffy.
Crack in egg and vanilla extract and combine.
Sift in flour, baking powder and salt. Mix thoroughly and then stir in your chocolate chips, nibbling on a few as you go, just because who wouldn't??
Refrigerate for 20 minutes! (IMPORTANT STEP)!
10 minutes before taking your cookies out of the fridge, turn on your oven to 180 degrees (fan).
Bake for approx 15-18 minutes
Leave to cool on a wire rack before gobbling away to your heart's content!
Hope you're all having a relaxing Sunday! Now go bake yourselves a batch of cookies for the week just for being such awesome human beings!
